Welcome!
As far back as I can remember, I had always wanted to go to Greece.
I mean, who wouldn't love to go there? Olive trees, blue lagoons and about 18°C in the middle of March, it is like heaven on earth.
This is not exactly the reason why I decided to book a flight, in February 2024, to go spend a whole semester in the capital city of this little paradise. In fact, it is more my interest in greek myths and antiquity that convinced me to fly to Athens, rather than an English-speaking country - like everyone adviced me to do - which would probably have been more apropriate for my studies.
When I was in primary school, my teacher would read for the class excerpts from a book about Greek mythology. I guess that it is thanks to her that I am where I am now. And I have never been so happy, proud and complete before moving to Athens.
I booked an AirBnB in the area of Pangrati, very calm and full of citrus trees, before moving in Koukaki, in a walking distance of the Acropolis. As I am writing this article, it has been more than a month that I am in Greece and I fell in love with every part of it, from its music and gastronomy to its museums and people.
I will of course have plenty of time to write about my trip and share the exciting experiences that are still waiting for me, but I just wanted to say, first and foremost, welcome on my blog! I hope that you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
